‘World in 3’ goes from rioting in the streets of Dakar to the peaceful Welsh town of Aberystwyth. In 2008 low crop yields led to soaring food prices, sparking protests across the developing world. We look at the scientists thousands of miles away who could hold the key to the problem. At Aberystwyth University researchers are creating drought-resistant plants to withstand the effects of climate change.
