Consequences

Observed deviations from Earth's past climate include more severe storms, warmer temperatures, melting glaciers, and rising sea levels. These influence species distributions and human health and well-being. Super storms, such as the one that hit the U.S. eastern seaboard in October, 2012 are expected to become common creating a huge economic impact as well as loss of human life.
